OUR APPORACH

OUR PHILOSOPHY ON TEACHING & LEARNING

At Living Tree Learning Center, we believe children thrive in environments that are structured, nurturing, engaging, and intentional. We understand that the early years are foundational, which is why our approach combines academics, character development, faith, consistency, and routine to support the growth of the whole child.

We believe learning should be purposeful and guided. Our classrooms are designed to promote independence, confidence, responsibility, and school readiness through teacher-led instruction, hands-on learning, repetition, and daily structure. Through routines, clear expectations, uniforms, homework, and consistent classroom culture, children develop the habits and discipline needed to succeed both in school and in life.

Our goal is not only to prepare children academically, but to help them become confident learners, critical thinkers, respectful individuals, and strong leaders.

THE REP WAY

At Living Tree Learning Center, we believe repetition builds mastery. “The Rep Way” is our approach to helping children learn through consistency, practice, routine, and reinforcement. Young children learn best when concepts are repeated in meaningful and engaging ways that build confidence and familiarity over time. Through repeated exposure to letters, sounds, numbers, routines, behaviors, scripture, and learning activities, children develop stronger retention, independence, and academic confidence. We believe repetition creates security, strengthens understanding, and helps children feel successful in their learning environment.

TEACHER-GUIDED LEARNING

We believe young children benefit from active guidance, intentional teaching, and meaningful interaction with educators. Our classrooms are teacher-led and structured to provide children with support, direction, encouragement, and purposeful instruction throughout the day. Teachers facilitate learning through planned lessons, small group instruction, hands-on activities, classroom discussions, themed learning experiences, and guided exploration. While children are encouraged to discover and engage creatively, our teachers remain actively involved in helping children learn, problem-solve, communicate, and grow socially and academically.

FAITH & BIBLICAL TEACHINGFAITH & BIBLICAL TEACHING

As a faith-based preschool, biblical teaching is woven into the daily culture of Living Tree Learning Center. Our goal is to introduce children to the love of Jesus Christ while helping them develop strong moral character, compassion for others, and a foundation rooted in biblical truth.

Children are exposed to scripture through Bible memory verses, devotion, prayer, praise and worship, weekly chapel services called Weekly Worship, and creative Bible-based learning experiences. Using the A Beka curriculum along with teacher-created lessons and themed activities, children learn about famous Old Testament stories, the birth of Jesus, the teachings and miracles of Christ, His death and resurrection, and the importance of discipleship and living with godly character.

We also incorporate teachings from the Beatitudes as children learn values such as humility, mercy, peacemaking, compassion, and love for others. Biblical principles are not only taught, but modeled daily through classroom culture, teacher interactions, worship experiences, and intentional guidance.

PARENT PARTERNSHIP

We believe education works best when families and teachers work together. At Living Tree Learning Center, we value strong communication, trust, consistency, and partnership between home and school.

We strive to keep parents informed, involved, and connected through regular communication, classroom updates, progress discussions, and ongoing support. Our goal is to create a village-centered environment where families feel welcomed, heard, supported, and actively involved in their child’s growth and development.
